How Do I Schedule a Visit?

  1. Find a veterinarian: Near you using our search functionality found at the top of each page.
  2. Review their profile: Including services, availability, and base visit fees.
  3. Log in or Register: You need to be logged in to schedule a visit.
  4. Request a visit: Through the online booking system.
  5. Wait for confirmation: Your vet will confirm the appointment or notify you if it cannot be confirmed (and why).
  6. Prepare: Double check that all of your pet’s details are accurate.

  • Ensure there is a Heal veterinarian in your area before scheduling.
  • Schedule directly from search results or a vet's profile page.
  • You must be signed in and have created pet profiles to complete scheduling.
  • Consider factors like specialty vs. general practice when selecting a veterinarian.

How Do I Reset My Password?

  1. Go to the Pet Parent Sign In page.
  2. Click the "Forgot Password" link.
  3. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  4. Check your email for reset instructions.
  5. Follow the link to create a new password and log in.

Important: Once a password is reset, the link expires. You must send a new request if you forget it again.

How Do I Prepare for a House Call Visit?

  1. Log in and navigate to "My Pets". Ensure the pets who will be seen have information that is up to date. You can edit their profiles by scrolling to the pet and clicking ‘Edit Profile’. Consider updating the below.
  2. Complete the profile with:
    • Current medications and dosages
    • Previous medical history
    • Current symptoms or concerns
    • Behavioral notes
  3. Request records from your previous veterinarian and have them sent to records@healhousecall.com.
  4. Prepare your space have a quiet, well-lit area available for the examination.
  5. Gather any medications or supplements your pet is currently taking.

Important Note: Pet parents should thoroughly fill out their pet's information by logging in and updating the pet profile in the "My Pets" section. This information should be reviewed and updated from time to time to ensure your veterinarian has the most current information about your pet's health.


How Do I Obtain My Pet's Medical Records, Vaccination History, and Wellness Reminders?

For Medical Records:

  1. Ensure you are logged in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the "My Pets" tab.
  3. Scroll to the appropriate pet (Note: records are only available for pets who have had a Heal visit).
  4. Look for the "Request Records" button (located under 'Edit' and 'Schedule Visit').
  5. Click the button to request records.
  6. You'll receive an email confirmation and follow-up with records within 24 hours.
  7. For additional questions, reply to the confirmation email.

For Wellness Reminders:

  1. Ensure you are logged in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the "My Pets" tab.
  3. Scroll to the pet you need reminders for.
  4. Find the "Reminders" section (to the right on desktop, below pet info on mobile).
  5. View upcoming reminders and export as PDF if needed.

How Do I Fill a Prescription?

Filling Prescriptions from Your House Call Visit:

  1. Receive your prescription: Your veterinarian will provide you with a written prescription or send it electronically. You and your pet must have an established relationship prior to receiving a prescription. In many cases this means your pet needs to be seen by a vet in person.
  2. Check your veterinarian's homepage: Many Heal vets provide a pharmacy link on their profile page for convenient online ordering.
  3. Choose your pharmacy, you can fill prescriptions at:
    • Your Heal veterinarian's preferred online pharmacy (if available on their homepage).
    • Local veterinary clinics that dispense medications.
    • Compounding pharmacies (for specialized medications).
    • Online pet pharmacies (ensure they are legitimate and licensed).
    • Many human pharmacies (for certain medications pharmacies like Costco, Wal-mart, and major chains have very competitive pricing).
  4. Provide prescription details: Give the pharmacy your written prescription or prescription number.
  5. Verify medication details: Confirm the medication name, dosage, and instructions match what your veterinarian prescribed.
  6. Pick up or receive delivery: Collect your pet's medication or arrange for delivery if available.

Important Prescription Information:

  • Follow dosing instructions exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian.
  • Complete the full course of medication, even if your pet seems better.
  • Store medications properly according to label instructions.
  • Check expiration dates before administering.
